“Foot In The Door IV” Video

Posted in Art, Updates on March 30, 2010 by Kris

Here’s a great video of every piece in the “Foot In The Door IV” exhibit:

My piece is about 4:45 into the video. It goes fast, so you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled.

You still have until June 13th to see the exhibit! It’s a good one, and I highly recommend going at least twice to fully take in all of the pieces in the exhibit. It’s a lot of work. For details, click here. My piece is located at 346-03.

New Look!

You may have noticed that this blog has a new layout. It sort of matches the new layout of! It was time for a website makeover, so I made a lot of changes to the site (including the colours) and I hope that the site is a lot easier to navigate. I made it easier to view my work (by implementing Lightbox2, which is amazing), and cut down the amount of works in the gallery to just 20 pieces. Of course, everything will be posted to this blog, so you won’t miss a thing. The design is based off of a 1962 book cover for a book of Russian short stories. I just loved the colours together, and I really wanted to create a website layout that captured minimalist design and sort of a retro design look. I hope I achieved that.

Check out the new design and let me know what you think!

Theatre Pro Rata 2010-2011 Season Bookmark

Posted in Graphic Design, Theatre on March 2, 2010 by Kris

I finished the design for Theatre Pro Rata‘s 2010-2011 season bookmark. I’m really happy with how it turned out. The photo is from their production of Marisol, and my friend Amber played the role of the angel. I don’t have to tell you that her costume got a positive reaction from the crowd.

Steampunk vinyl-clad angels of war…for the win!

(I love my job.)
